  • To help us ensure all students get home safely, please follow the guidelines below when changes to your child’s dismissal plan are needed:

    • Monday–Thursday: Please call the front office by 2:00 PM if you need to change how your child will be going home.

    • Fridays (Early Release): All requests must be made by 11:15 AM.

The office is very busy during the last 20 minutes before dismissal, and we may not be able to accommodate late changes.

    Bus Changes:
If your child needs to take a different bus, a written note from a parent or guardian is required and must be signed by the principal in advance.

    Pick-Up by Someone New:
If someone different will be picking up your child, please ensure they are listed in your emergency contacts in Synergy. For safety reasons, students can only be released to individuals listed on their emergency contact list.

    Reminder from the FUSD Handbook:
Any change in your child’s regular going-home routine must be communicated to both the teacher and front office in writing.

Students should make social arrangements (such as going home with a friend) from home ahead of time, as school phones are for school business only.

Thank you for helping us keep all our students safe and accounted for at the end of each school day!

  • We want to invite all our Kinsey families to join our PTO! The Kinsey PTO provides support to the families, staff, and students of Kinsey. Meetings are the first Thursday of the month at 5:30 in the library. You can email the PTO at kinseypto1601@gmail.com for more information.

  • We are committed to providing a safe learning environment where students thrive. We also want to families to feel welcome when visiting their child during the school day. To help us keep students safe, we ask that if you are volunteering or visiting a classroom to please make arrangements 24 hours prior with your student's teacher. Teachers will then notify the office of your visit. We want to ensure that all visitors to campus are expected for both safety and health mitigation.

  • At Kinsey, we’re committed to creating a safe and healthy environment where all students can focus, thrive, and do their best. One way we support this is by following nutrition and wellness guidelines during the school day.

Food for Celebrations and Special Occasions
Per Arizona Department of Education guidelines, any food shared at school—including birthday treats and snacks for classroom celebrations—must meet Smart Snack Nutrition Standards. These standards help ensure students have the energy and focus they need to learn.

To support a healthy classroom environment:

    • All treats must meet Smart Snack guidelines if served during the school day

    • Store-bought and pre-packaged items are encouraged to meet county health regulations

    • Homemade food items may not be shared at school

    • Please check the list of approved snack options before bringing items

    Drinks in the Classroom
To help keep our classrooms clean, safe, and focused on learning:

    • Water is the only drink permitted in classrooms

    • Sodas, energy drinks, cocoa, coffee, and other outside beverages are not allowed during the school day

Thank you for supporting our efforts to build a healthy and successful learning environment for all students!

  • 🚗 Parent Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures

Parent drop-off and pick-up take place in the north parking lot. To keep things safe and efficient:

    • Use the north lane to enter and the south lane to exit.

    • Drive forward to the end of the lot, loop around, and pull up along the south curb, where staff will assist students in and out of vehicles.

    Drop-Off Details:

    • Drop-off begins at 7:40 AM, which is when student supervision and breakfast also begin.

    • Please do not drop off students before 7:40 AM—there is no supervision, and it is unsafe.

    Pick-Up Details:

    • School dismisses at 2:20 PM, Monday through Thursday.

    • Friday early dismissal is at 11:35 AM.

To help speed up the pick-up process:

    • Each family is assigned a car tag number.

    • Share your number with the staff member at pick-up—they will radio ahead so your student is ready as you approach.

    • If you haven’t received a number yet, you can request one at any time.

    🚫 Bus Zone Safety Guidelines:

For student safety and in accordance with Arizona State regulations, the front entrance (bus loop) is a designated bus-only zone and is not available for student drop-off or pick-up during the following times:

    • 7:10 – 8:10 AM

    • 1:50 – 2:50 PM

    • Fridays: 11:15 – 11:50 AM (due to early dismissal at 11:35 AM)

Families enrolled in FACTS may use the front entrance outside of these restricted times.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and smooth arrival and dismissal for all Kinsey students!
